Lottie Bowden soprano
Lottie first began singing in 2005 when she joined the National Youth Choir. Later, she gained a place at the Junior Department of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, learning with the Head of Singing, Marilyn Rees. Currently, she studies at the Royal Academy of Music with Jennifer Dakin and Jonathan Papp. She recently took part in the Royal Academy of Music/Kohn Foundation Bach Cantata Series with Masaaki Suzuki and will be performing in Neresheim Abbey’s International Summer Concert Series with musicians from the Academy. Lottie also sang in the chorus in Handel’s Ariodante for Royal Academy Opera, directed by Paul Curran and conducted by Jane Glover. Recent solo opportunities have included Mozart’s Requiem, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater and Faure’s Requiem as well as taking part in masterclasses, most recently with Sophie Daneman. Lottie also plays the French Horn, the Clarinet and the Double Bass, although at only 5’2’’ a half sized bass is all she can manage! In her spare time she loves to bake and dance salsa.
