Henry Kimber countertenor
Henry began his singing career as a chorister at Chichester Cathedral (later senior chorister) under Alan Thurlow. He then moved to Lancing College where he sang in the Chapel Choir under Neil Cox. He then moved to Hereford Cathedral as a Choral Scholar participating in the Three Choirs Festival. Henry is currently an Academical Clerk in the Choir of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford whilst studying theology at the university. He studies with Giles Underwood and has recently performed solos in Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Stabat Mater and various Bach cantatas with the Boxwood consort. Henry is hoping to pursue a career as a professional singer, but also plays guitar in a few Oxford based bands (when time allows!). Non-musical interests include Cricket, Formula One (something he shares with at least one other member of Mousai) and fine ales.
